Sweet Harmony

“How wonderful it is, how pleasant, when brothers live together in harmony” (Psalm 133:1)
Family vacation. Twenty of us together at a lakeside resort. Fun! We hadn’t had a family vacation together for eight years. Things have changed. The grandkids are growing up!
Swimming, canoeing, sunbathing, building sand sculptures (Lion King this year), early morning walks and bike rides. Older cousins entertaining younger cousins.
Tents and trailers set up in a circle, allowing room for the tables and chairs in the center. A circle of love!
As my husband and I sat observing the family (from ages 3 to 64) play and eat together, my heart soared with praise and thanksgiving. As we watched the light-hearted teasing and bantering between spouses, we felt immensely satisfied and contented. Their marriages were strong. What a blessing it was to spend time with the family in harmony and fun. Thank You, Lord!
Father, thank You for families. Thank You for creating generations so we can learn from each other. Enable us to be the ones who pray for and help create harmony in our families. Amen.
