A number of years ago I was a live-in caretaker for a remarkable 95 year old man. Three months into the job the man wasn’t feeling well and went into the hospital to have a tumor removed from his stomach. He had a bit of a downturn in his recovery and when I was with him one evening he had his little hands folded and was praying quietly. I wondered if he would get out of the hospital alive. But then I saw an angel face over his bed. The face reminded me of the statue of liberty with rays coming out of her head and the face was smiling. Without any words spoken, the thought entered my mind that he will be alright and will live.
He did live for 5 more years; he passed away quietly in his home a day after he gave his heart to the LORD!
